For not "unchecking" a box, I ended up agreeing to an unneeded membership

Recently, I received a deluge of ads from one company called Coloncleanse.com. Seemed harmless and in order to get the ads to stop coming to my work e-mail, I ordered the $3.95 trial version of the product. Now, a month later, the apparent parent company Pricelimbo.com has charged me a $8.51 monthly membership fee.

The representative said that I ordered the membership by not "unchecking" a clearly marked box on the ad. I countered that I should be entitled to a refund of the $8.51 as I did not knowing or willingly agree to such a membership but I was told that a refund was not an option because I "clearly" could tell I was about to become a paying Pricelimbo.com member. This is a complete scam. If I wanted to start a membership anywhere, I should be checking a box, not looking for a box to "uncheck".
