D & K Collectables, Buyers beware! Refunds in exchange for defective merchandise? -YOU'LL NEVER SEE IT! DVDs sent in cheap cases, came loose, got scratched up & won't play

First and foremost, buyers beware when you are ordering online. (Especially when there is noreal address for the business (PO Box only) & the phone number that is supplied is nothing more than an answering machine/voicemail.)

I bought two DVD Collections in April and now we're in June. One of the 1940's series of the Shadow and one of Marvel Superhero 1966 Collection - 5 DVD collection as a gift. Everything seemed easy enough, indicated which items I was purchasing, read and agreed with their disclaimer and completed the purchase as planned.

Here's where it got funny. Items did show up (a bit late) but none the less, did show up. For those familiar with the cartoon classics, quality was as somewhat as expected since the cartoons are from 1966 and recorded from TV. But two things weren't too cool.

First was the fact that nobody even took the time to edit out all the commercials from the TV program, and just as bad, the DVD's were sent in DVD cases that were ultra thin, made of a flexible, cheap plastic DVD cases and were sent in an envelope with limited wrapping or protection. 5 DVD's arrived-3 were fine, not scratched the other two, came loose in their cases and got all scratched up.

I informed D & K who responded quickly with the reply, send the damaged disks back without the cases and they will be replaced. I sent them return receipt to ensure that they were received by D & K who said afterwards we sent the replacements and you should have gotten them.

Long story short, here has been already months of emailing, trying to call and getting an email response once in a blue moon, that they're checking into it and that's it. Very sad customer service. And god forbid you get upset that you are still waiting and getting tired of waiting, that now, since I can't get the replacement disks, how about that Refunds in exchange for defective merchandise only clause? Then you will never hear from them at all anymore. Isn't that great?

Oh, did I mention that they obviously pride themselves in being Christians with their other website xianstore@hotmail.com which hosts the same phone number just like dakcollectibles@hotmail.com.

Bottom line is, they have great potential to be a dynamite site with the stuff they have, instead they choose to instead, be unprofessional and uncaring and don't even have the common courtesy to call you especially when things have gone awry and you've supplied them with a call back number and a open invitation to call you. If they straighten this out and make it right, I will in return, make a point to post that update on this site. Otherwise, I will continue to notify people and let them know exactly how
