I was looking to purchase a web pos system for my retail store that would allow simply expansion of furture retail stores. I came accross several and talked with many companies. Effortlesse seemed to be the one to go with after about 3 hours of phone conversation.

Well let me tell you they could care less about the customer. The first day we put the system live we had problems with error messages. I submitted a ticket for help. After about an hour of waiting and no response I call them and they tell me you did not subscribe to phone support only ticket support. Well I was aware of that but I assumed (you know what they say about that) since I had only had the program live for about 2 hours and was having problems they would help well I was wrong they would not. So I figured ok I will call the sales rep who I spoke to (Ray) thinking he would assist me since I was a new customer again I was wrong all he did for me was hang up on me twice in a row. He also told me I did not purchase phone support. However I did just purchase the license for $500 but guess that dont mean anything. After several hours the problem was resolved.

A few days later we ran into another problem this a major one. While in the process of cashing out customers it would not always include some items in the total. It would show them on the screen but the total price with tax would be incorrect. Once this was spotted I immediately submitted a ticket. This ticket was submitted on 5/2/08 at 10:27am they responded finally at 11:24am stating this was being escalated to tier 2 for further support. To this date and time my ticket has still not been addressed. 5/5/08 10:16pm. I guess they just figure I should continue to give away merchandise till they fix the problem.

I did submit on 5/3/08 to cancell my account due to the lack of service and me having to switch back to our old system in the middle of the day (which was a nightmare itself). The response I received for that was sorry we dont work weekends unless the system is down. I replied to that stating if your program can not add properly I would consider that down. I have yet to receive a response to that.

I have dug a little deeper and found that other companies have also discontinued there service. I have also found that have 4 complaints with the BBB that were close due to them not answering them. No surprise to me.

In summary once this company has your money they dont care about you one bit. Also there program has many bugs that need to be addressed. I have sent a dispute to the credit card company to have the charges reversed. Beware of effortlesse dont use them.
