PC DirectBiz
PC Di Rip off. Thieves. Unethical practices

Internet & Web

My story is a bit different from the ones I have read thus far. I originally purchased my laptop from PC DirecBiz 3 years ago. I ordered this laptop for my husband who, at that time, was driving over the road and needed a laptop.

I placed the order at the end of 2004 or early 2005. I waited 8 months before I finally got my laptop. I got excuse after excuse but I kept on them every couple of weeks or so. I think I remember them taking the payments out before I got it but it wasn't long before so I was ok with that.

Well, during the course of the last 3 years, the payments come out of my account on a very inconsistent basis. Sometimes a week will go by and no payment comes out, then the following week, 2 payments will come out. There was even a long stretch of about 3 months where they didn't take out a single payment so I was like "great! Maybe they lost my information and I won't have to finish paying for this overpriced laptop."
But once again, the payments started up again.

Now recently, my account was hit not once, not twice, but FOUR times in one day for $15 each. Naturally I called them up to find out what's going on. I really just wanted to know what my balance was so I could get a payoff date.

As with other posts, I was unable to get through to a person but left countless messages (some nasty) until I finally got a return call from some guy named Kevin. He told me that the company was in a transition period and changing owners. I told him that I wanted my account information and wondered why my bank was hit with four payments. All he said was that some of their customers were behind (not my fault!!!) so they were playing catch up.

He told me that he would have someone email me my account information so I let it go. I never received any email! So I called again later that day and left another message. Well, my account was hit for a fifth time!!! $75 total in 2 days!!! Unauthorized I might add.

This caused financial hardship and I let them know that. I left a couple more messages and no return call this time. I am going to close out that account so they can't do this again and if I still owe them money, they can get their attorneys (yeah right) after me for the balance.

My husband even said that he suspected that they are operating out of someone's basement. After speaking with this Kevin guy, I wouldn't doubt it a bit. He was very unprofessional and acted like he didn't know what he was talking about. This company needs to just go away.

If you're reading this, and you still want to finance a computer, go to MyComputerClub and they will treat you right. I have financed 2 PCs and 1 laptop from them and they are super! Their contracts are usually no more than 18 months versus 3 years for this stupid company.
