I was on craigslist.org in searching the new york city site. I went to the ETC section of the jobs category. I found a person posting to "participate" in a Soda drinking survey. It contained the usual questions to fill out such as email, sex, age, race etc. It said to send to the email address provided which is " hrsurveyconsultants@yahoo.com". I filled it out and sent the email. I got a response about two weeks later saying that they filled the positions for the soda research study and that they would want to do a survey on Western Union/Money gram. I said ok. They sent me an email saying they would FedEx me funds and that I would keep $400. They sent another email saying that they were having problems with FedEx and they would mail me the funds.

I got another email about a week later saying they will overnight the funds. I would go to my bank/check cashing place and cash the money orders. Then go to any Western Union to rate the services and transfer the money to the address they provided. I received Four (4) money orders for $850 each totaling $3400. I was to keep $400 for myself as pay for the survey and transfer $2700 to this address: Odell Calhoun 29 Shore Drive, Columbia - Georgia

I went to the nearest Western Union and did the transfer etc.

I sent the person who was contacting me that mtcn number (transfer code) and filled out the survey. They wrote back saying that they want me to do another survey. They once again overnighted me money orders. This time it was Seven (7) money orders for $850 totaling over $6,000.

I grew hesitant and didn't do it. I googled all the information I had and turns out they have been sending people fake money orders. Now I am $3400 dollars in debt.

The contact names they use are Gayle Lamb and David Sloan.

Transfer names are Odell Calhoun in Columbia Georgia and Yvonnia Houston in California.

This is FRAUD!!!
I have already contacted Craigslist and Yahoo since that is the only way they would have contacted you.

I also tracked the fed ex packages I had received and they are coming from Lakewood NEW JERSEY and not Houston TX or Morehead City, NC.

The phone numbers they provide are disconnected or private residences!

Stay away from these people!!!
