Advertised rebate not honored

I ordered a Connect3D 2GB Secure Digital Card for $50 that was supposed to be free with rebate, however, never received the rebate. Buy.com apparently honored a few. But when Connect 3D completely folded, Buy.com quit honoring the rebate.

They say they are taking Connect 3D to court... Wouldn't they save a lot more $ by just reimbursing those who purchased the card? Won't buy from them as have seen ratings go down. And can't trust their information.
