Wildblue
Cannot provided advertised speeds

Internet & Web

Wildblue cannot provide the advertised speeds and nothing can be done about it. The average data speeds are barely better than dial up for about 5 times the cost of dial up service. Theoretically they can advertise any speed they want and then say that they never promised to deliver that speed just that the equipment is capable of providing it.

For instance, if I ran a business and said that I would provide you a 10* Mb service and then in the disclaimer for the agreement said *there is no guarantee this service will even work. And then sold that to people do you think I would still be in business? Do you also think I could then charge people half of their remaining monthly fees to leave? This is fraudulent advertising at its worst, queue times to talk to them are outrageous.

I have contacted the FCC about the Quality of Service and I will be submitting a complaint with them about false advertising. There is nothing else I can do at the moment but stick out this horrendous service contract.
