An Internet Shopping Spree Ripoff to Avoid

Internet & Web

I'm writing this report in the hopes that businesses in our area will avoid using so-called shopping sprees with the Worldwide Shopping Network (WSN) to attract customers. The warning for advertisers: Rather than attracting my business, the WSN scam simply guarantees I will never do business with your company.

The scam works like this: You will receive a flyer in the male with a scratch-off number. If your number matching the winning number on the flyer, you're guaranteed to win one of five prizes.in our case, The Mazda auto dealership in Daphne Alabama promised winners would receive a new car, a widescreen TV, a so-called $1,000 dollar internet shopping spree or $100 cash. Naturally, when you show up at the dealership, you've won the so-called internet spending spree with WSN.

When you log on to the website, you discover there is absolutely nothing worth buying because the shipping and handling fees total more than it would cost you to buy the same items at your local Walmart or Tuesday Morning outlet. WSN deliberately keeps the price of each item low so they can rip off their customers with absurd shipping and handling charges for each item.

For example, they charge $22 to ship a pillow you could purchase at a local discount store for the same or a lower amount. So, a word to the wise: Don't waste your time with WSN and don't shop with companies that use this scam to grab your attention.
