Coast Communications, horible internet service

In the past we have had problems with Coast Communications. At this point in time they are the only brodband ISP in our area, shy of satalite internet. Qwest DSL is supposed to be in the area soon but until then we have actually switched to DAIL UP because of the horible experience with coast...

It started a few months ago, our internet was actually cut off for excessive ussage, ok I can understand that, however they didn't tell us! When we called about our internet not working they told us that they cut it off and had sent us an email warning that if we did not stop using it so much they would put us on provation. Well that's fine but they sent it to our coast access internet acount that we have told them we do not EVER use. We have never loged into it and we don't even know how to log into it!

Last week we got a letter in the mail informing us that they are now going to be charging us for every gig we go over our agreement. Well the new agreement is that we get 5gb per month, that's 3gb download and 2 gb upload. If you know what those numbers mean you know it's practiacly nothing... As a gamer and a website designer this is not a service it is a burden. If I'm learning html php sql on my home server which is now shut down due to our limit. I am no longer able to use my xbox live account to download movies demos ect and same goes with my ps3! I have steam and about 30 gigs, mabey more, in games on there that I can not get back! That's a couple hundred dollars in games that I can not have if i'm using coast communications! This is a complete outrage. Using dial up I can go over 5gbs in a month and they give us a brodband connection and tell us we can only have 5gbs. Anybody can go through 5gbs in less than a day!

To sum up, this is the worst experience I have ever had with an ISP and it's the second worst expience I have heard up, look up wild blu on this site for a worse experience. I will NEVER be using Coast again. We switched to direct TV instead of coast cable tv as well. I'm acually using dial up instead now and will be switching to qwest DSL ASAP!
