Bestsellerbooksdirect, BestSellerBooksDirect.com Robert Dee of MT Vernon - internet Fraud even the District attorney for Linn County IA won't respond to me

I purchased a book from a Mt Vernon Iowa company (Bestsellerbooksdirect 461 Cedar River Road, Mount Vernon, IA 52314-9662) through a "now closed" eBay account on September 22 e-bay #170023555122 I did not receive it. I tried contacting the company by e-mail, phone, and by their web site and have never received a response from the company, leading me to suspect mail/interstate fraud. I filed a claim with the company and received no response.

BTW They also have a claim form that issues the exact SAME claim/case number BB207-859-877-854 every time - to each person, leading me to suspect they are a front for interstate/internet theft. The company did not send the book thereby defaulting on their contract to me through e-bay.

I also filed a claim thru PayPal... As follows - After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer Complaint described below.

We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Please know that we will make our best effort to recover the funds in question if they become available in the seller's account in the future and will take appropriate action against the seller. Such action may include issuing a warning, a temporary restriction, or terminating the account. Keep in mind that PayPal uses a number of factors to determine when to take action, including member complaints. Due to privacy laws, we cannot discuss the details of any action taken. We hope you understand our policy and that it assures you that you are safe using PayPal.

I e-mailed the Better Business Bureau in Iowa. They were no help at all, here's their response -

I contacted the DA for Linn County Iowa and told him I would fill out a notarized affidavit. They read my e-mail (read recept) and complaint but never responded. I guess Linn county doesn't give a hoot about internet crime/fraud operating out of their county.

These people live in a very large very nice New house so they must make a good living by defrauding people! I wonder what they are up to now? What new fraud they've cooked up?

To bad the people in Mt Vernon in Linn county IA won't help the hundreds or thousands of people internationally that have been ripped of by these frauds too.
