Ric Fleming placed an ad on craigslist looking for a freelance web designer to help maintain and create websites. The ad stated $1250.00/mo. I replied to the ad and began working for Mr. Fleming in September. Mr Fleming stated that the $1250.00 was for the whole month, whether I completed 1 or 100 updates. During the month of September I completed over 200 website updates and redesigns according to specs provided. Mr. Fleming Finally paid me on October 6th the $1250.00 owed for the month of september's work.in October I completed approximately 137 updates. When it came time to get paid, Mr. Fleming said he was in Atlanta due to his uncle dying from lung cancer and that he would be back on the weekend of Nov 10th. He also sent more work for me to do. On Nov 15th, Ric asked for an update on the work he sent over. I advised him that I had been trying to upload the updates to his server, but something was wrong (I emailed a screenshot of the error). On Sunday November 18th I emailed Mr. Fleming and asked him to call me ASAP because I absolutely could not wait until Wednesday the 21st to receive payment for OCTOBER's work because Thursday was Thanksgiving and I needed the money. Mr. Fleming Never returned my phone calls or emails after this point other than to make an excuse that I didn't work the whole month (Due to surgery I had for a hernia) (Which was only 4 days) and that I was ripping him off. Mr. Fleming still refuses to take my calls and return my emails. When I sent Mr. Fleming a "Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless You" text message on Thanksgiving he replied with "F* You". This is the last piece of correspondence received from Mr. Fleming. I have all correspondence from Mr. Fleming requesting the work to be done and my replies back to him when the work was completed.

I would also like to warn any future companies that may look for search engine advertising help in north and central florida. Mr. Fleming operates out of Ormond Beach and has clients stretching from Tampa, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville FL to South Georgia. Mr. Fleming will charge you $400.00 to submit your site to the search engines. He claims that since he submits them through Australia they climb to the top instantly. I'm not sure if that statement is true or not, but if it is... Save your $400.00 and do it yourself.

To anyone who has responded to an ad on craigslist from this person. Make sure you get paid in advance for the month or get something in writing.

My family was put in a very bad situation due to Mr. Fleming not paying me. I have 3 kids to support and a mortgage to pay. It is now December 8th and I still have not received payment from him. If it comes down to suing him, it will be for two months Attorney Fees Wages Lost from work since I did work for him in October and November.
