Very suspicious activities for advisors

Internet & Web

After registering to be an ADVISOR with keen.com I was asked for a credit card number, which they claimed was for age verification only. I thought this was kind of suspicious since a credit card does not prove anything about age. Anyone could use their parents credit card. But I went ahead and gave them my credit card information, and remember, I had strong suspicions because I was registering to be an ADVISOR... NOT trying to sign up for membership to pay for phone calls.

After setting up my account for my business advisor status, I decided to set up another category also. The information was not going through on the set up. I contacted customer service, no response. Waited another day, no response, but in the meantime when trying to access my account I got a new page coming up that was asking for "information that you had previously supplied us" for security purposes. Mind you, the customer service has never been heard from at this point.

The new application wanted my DL# and social security number, AND it stated that they had asked for this info on the initial application... WRONG, they had not. The only thing they asked for was a credit card, not other personal identification info. Now they were asking (for security purposes they say), all my personal identification info... And there was no one to speak to at all, no way to contact these people. Customer service non existant.

Immediately had a suspicious feeling about all of this. I cancelled my credit card number and cancelled my account on the spot. This doesn't seem like a legitimate business climate to me... As a former business OWNER, I have to seriously question their methods of operation, and why they would need all of this personal information if they were LEGITIMATE.

There is something very fishy about them wanting my credit card when the service is TOTALLY FREE!!
