Wealth International
Unauthorized charge of $129.99 to my bank debit card

Internet & Web

On August 28, I ordered a Free CD that describes how to do e-bay auctions from a banner ad. The only charge was $1.95 for shipping. The company stated on the ad was Success WI.

I never received any CD. However, a few weeks later the mail lady came to my door with a package. I did not recognize the company it was from — Wealth International. I told the mail lady I did not know who this company was and did not want the package. She told me to write refused on the package and she would take it back to the Post Office to be sent back to the sender (Wealth International). I wrote refused on the package and gave the package back to the mail lady.

A couple of weeks later, October 1, a charge appeared on my online bank statement for $129.99. I never made any charge for that amount. I immediately called my bank and told them this was an unauthorized charge. I filed a complaint with my bank's fraud department. The bank closed my card and reissued a new card to me.

I called the 800 number for Wealth International but after several hours of trying to get through to a person to demand a refund I was unsuccessful. All I would get each time I called was a recording that looped around several times and then I would get disconnected. I would call back.

On October 1, I emailed the company at billing@wealthint.com and demanded a refund immediately of this unauthorized charge, which also made my account overdrawn and added overdraft fees putting me in a hardship. The company has not answered my email.

I am filing a Consumer Complaint with my state Attorney General's office and a fraud investigation report with my bank's fraud department. I decided to file a report here at usacomplaints.com as well. I also found the Work at Home Forum (www.work-at-home-forum.com/14_2460_0.html) of several victims of Wealth International when I was searching for information or a website for this company.

I have found no official website for this ripoff company. I believe Wealth International just posts ads all over the internet under the guise of Success WI or maybe even more aliases to dupe individuals out of their card number for $1.95 shipping charges for a CD that never arrives but instead gives them access to charge $129.99. Other individuals have reported being charged this fee more than once along with a $29.95 fee. I believe I was not charged these additional fees from Wealth International because I called my bank immediately disputing the first $129.99 charge and my bank suspended my card immediately to prevent further unauthorized charges.
