Buyers Beware Go Elsewhere if you wish to BUY your poetry in a professional way!

Internet & Web

Poetry.com is most certainly a RIPOFF. Buyers beware! If you wish to have your poetry setup in a nice format, go to the photo websites like photoworks or shutterfly, etc. You can easily design and layout your poetry just like you want it and so much CHEAPER!

My first clue that this was a ripoff site is when they asked ME TO PAY FOR MY WORK. Please remember that ANYTIME somone asks you to PAY FOR YOUR OWN WORK (I.E. POETRY), it is a scam.

The packages that they offer with tacky gifts was my next clue. Where or what would I want to place a sticker on that I belonged to The International Poetry Association. If this place was all that it says it is, why do they keep asking you to keep reviewing and approving a single poem to be published. Get out!

I do not know how people like this sleep at night. What I do know is that I would not want to be these people on Judgement Day. I pray for freaks like this in our world. It is a disgrace that a government agency has not gotten this website removed. Moreover, it is international.

To everyone, like me that has submitted a poem or two in good faith, we did just that in good faith. I ask you to take your good work and use it in a way that will turn this negative situation around. Perhaps include your poem in a card, frame it and hang it on your wall, or give it to those you love as a precious gift.
