IWantU.com
Complete ripoff site full of fake members Online Only

Internet & Web

I've been a member of IWantU.com for a couple of months, sent out hundreds of messages and received about as many in return. It's very common to recognize profile pictures as being those of well-known models, actresses, or porn stars, or to see the same picture on multiple profiles from women claiming to be from different cities.

With few exceptions the messages all appear to be from people whose native language isn't English (despite their profile claiming they're from someplace in the US). Many of the messages I received have obviously been translated by BabelFish or a similar translation program.invariably, they appear to be from Russians or Nigerians who ask me to contact them via private e-mail. Their messages all sound canned and extremely similar. They quickly tell me they've fallen in love with me and begin asking for money or financial help to come to the US.

I've written IWantU.com on multiple occasions complaining about the fake profiles and the overwhelming number of members who are obviously fake. I get nothing more from them than hollow promises to look into it and an offer to extend my membership for free. This site is nothing but a complete ripoff. The owners are certainly aware that the vast majority of their female members are actually fakes looking to scam money from you or get you to join another pay site to see their pictures, yet they do nothing to solve this problem. Their goal is simply to get you to pay for a membership and only then discover that you've wasted your time & money. If they know that the vast majority of the women on their site are fake, then their advertisements promising you great opportunities to meet others is false advertising.
