My contact information used to be available on my high school's website until I along with many other alumni, was spammed by Alumni Archive, Inc. We received an email "inviting" us to join the new alumni site for the school. At first I thought it was from someone connected to the school to let us know, and then as I went through the site I realized it was a scam. This is a commercial site that has collected our personal email addresses from our school's alumni database and used them to spam alumni in order to get them to join the commercialized site. I think this is an illegal tactic they are using and want to inform others of the practice in case they receive an email from this company. Anyone else that has had this experience and felt like they were violated please post your comments here.
