TheDigitalNerds Company requires you to call to confirm order but uses your call to try to sell expensive extras, also possible credit card fraud ripoff internet

I ordered a Fugifilm s6000fd digital camera online from thedigitalnerds.com. They seemed to have the lowest price and excellent reviews.

I subsequently got an email from them asking me to call 800-958-0054 to "confirm your order within 24 hours, so we may have your order shipped out to you as soon as possible".

When I called I was told I needed to order an additional memory card. I told the sales person I just wanted the camera. I purchase many items through the internet and felt something was wrong here. I googled "The Digital Nerds" and found many reports of scams so I called them back and canceled my order.

About a week after I cancelled my order, my bank called me to tell me my credit card was being used illegally by someone in Tokoyo to charge large sums. They stopped these charges and cancelled my card.

This was a credit card I had not used in the last 6 months except for my order from "TheDigitalNerds"
