Fraudulent billing and terrible service

I live in a rural area that did not have access to traditional high speed internet service. As a result, I signed up for Skyway satellite internet to provide some semblance of high speed internet. However, I have had major service issues from the day of installation. The service was extremely intermittant for 6 months repeated calls to Tech Support failed to resolve the issue.in fact, one person simply said "I don't know" and then ended the call.

In December it stopped working completely. When I called Tech Support again (who only works 8 hours a day by the way with no voice mail), they told me that the satellite had "gone down" and they were "working on getting it fixed." This story continued for over three months with each tech support/customer service person telling me that they were hoping to get it up by the end of the week.

I was then told in March that they had the new satellite up and working and they would send a technician out to my house to provide the new equipment. The technician never came to my house nor replaced the equipment. After 6 months of no service, I decided to cancel my subscription.

I was then hit with a $499 "early termination fee." When I stated that I didn't have service for the past 6 months, I was told by Vicki the "Churn Manager" that it was as a result of the T&C of my agreement. When I asked what T&C she was specifically referring too she wrote (and I quote) "I'm sorry but that document is about 19 pages long. But it covers everything.
All I can do is direct you back to that website." Unbelievable. I read the T&C and I have an out clause based upon the contract. At this point, they are unwilling to honor it.

With that said, I highly recommend not using this provider. They provided service for less than half the time I had it. Their customer service is atrocious and their tech support is worse.
