Unauthorized credit card charges by shopping essentials ripoff

In April while tracking statements on my Visa card I noticed one that has appeared every month since September.
Shopping Essentials charged me $9.95 per month for each of the last 8 months. I called 1-888-243-6180 to inquire about the charges and was told I had a 30 day trial period and received a $20 promotional check.
They denied that I ever cancelled during the trial period and told me they would cancel it immediately but to keep enjoying the benefits for the rest of the month!
I asked for my membership # and a confirmation # this time of my cancellation which were grudgingly given to me.
Had I been more vigilant I would have caught this much sooner. BEWARE of this company!
