Store Dismissed Refurbished iPod Short Battery Life Complaint

I bought a refurbished iPod and I expect to get a product that says it's up to factory standards. The battery is supposed to last around 14 hours. I only get 5 hours at best. I took my Apple iPod to the Apple store in Fashion Valley and the salesman spoke really fast and really loud and sent me home with the option to come back later if I had changed a couple of things. Update ipod to new firmware - that was already the case. He looked into my settings and lied to me, saying there was an update. At the time an update was a month away. Next he said look into battery optimization suggestions online. That's fine, I did that on my own when I first got my ipod, 2 weeks before I wanted to get serviced.

The point is I was ignored and totally dismissed, and I'm sure this guy is only following orders. It's gotta be an unspoken strategy.

I'm pissed that I was treated like I'm a bother for addressing a concern about a product I paid in full for with warranty and proof of purchase. I do not like the apple brand as much anymore.
