Ripoff money-back guarantee ploy scam high pressure sales tactics manipulation master manipulators deceptive business practices

I was quite ill and hard up for money when I called AWSM. The rep I spoke with knew I was not an easy sell so she got the "manager" on the phone. He was extremely pushy. I was told by the manager that if I decided to purchase an ad from AWSM, I would be noted as having a money-back guarantee, even though this was not the standard policy.

I waited 3 months for a confirmation e-mail from AWSM that my ad was put on-line. This never happened. I called customer service and told the representative that I would like to get a refund, as my satisfaction was guaranteed. She told me that there had been a two-week period in which I was able to get my money back, but that had expired.

If someone had told me I had two weeks to get my money back I never would have signed up. The guarantee was obviously a ploy to assure me that this opportunity was risk-free. Seeing as I was told that I had a money-back guarantee, I would like my money back.

These sales reps are master manipulators. One named Trinity actually told me that I should come out to Arizona & hang out, as that's what "some of the other clients do".

The same one, knowing my situation of being desperately ill & broke, tried to get me to purchase a site map package, at $2,000 which would have completely devestated me even more. She even said that they only make the site-map packages known to "select" clients. That must mean the ones who clearly cannot afford it.
