Wrote Rubber Check

I sent the company two cells phone for payment. Originally I was promised $6.00 a phone. Before sending them in I received an email promising an additional $1.00 per phone if I sent them in after receiving the email in which I did.

After several weeks I received a check for $12.00 (not $14.00 as promised). I deposited the check and didn't complain about being short. A couple of weeks later (May 13) I was notified by my bank that the check did not clear and I was being charged $10.00.

After leaving several messages and also sending in several emails over a course of one week I was finally able to talk to a real person. (They didn't bother to return any of my calls or emails.)

I asked to be sent a money order to cover the $12.00 check plus the $10.00 fee the bank charged me. The company representative demanded that I receive a second check from them for the amount of $10.00 and to redeposit the first check. I insisted that they send me a money order for the full amount that I was not comfortable depositing any more checks from them and risk more fees from my bank. I promised that once I received the money order, I would send them the rubber check.

They then insisted that I receive the funds through Paypal. I refused because Paypal payments can be reversed. After about a 20 minute phone call they promised to mail a money order to me for the $22.00.

I waited three weeks for the money order to arrive and finally called the company. At first they told me they forgot to send the money order and once again tried to get me to accept a second check from them. They insisted that sending me a money order would be pain in their behind. So far no reimbursement for a check that they claim bounced because the owner was out of town and didn't get funds transfered into the correct account to cover the checks written.
