Ubid Overcharged Illinois Sales Tax deceptive company IL

We have filed a law suit (in Cook County, IL) against Ubid alleging that it deceptively fails to disclose the actual amount of sales tax charged for IL deliveries. We hope to make this a class action.

On its web site, Ubid states it will charge the state tax (which is 6.25%) but charged us the state AND local (Cook County, RTA and Chicago) combined rates of 8.75%.

We would appreciate contact from any other IL consumers who feel that Ubid cheated them on the amount of sales tax charged on their purchases.
