Instant cast is a huge scam! They are stealing my money! New York

Okay, first of all I'd like to say that I KNOW it is stupid to give out credit card info on the internet. However, I belong to other similar-looking casting sites that are perfectly legit (I'm assuming that's how Instant Cast got my info in the first place) so I assumed this one would be legit as well. I was so, so wrong.

Upon signing up for my "Free 2-Week Trial, " I accessed the site and realized it was pretty worthless. I figured I'd just cancel my membership, but then I forgot about the whole thing—until, a few weeks later, I found an unauthorized charge of $64.95 made by InstantCast on my online billing statement.

I immediately went to the site to try to cancel my subscription and write an angry e-mail, only to find that there is NO way of doing so. The site provides absolutely no contact information, and none of the "comment boxes" in the supposed "customer service" section work. I then went through my e-mail to see if I still had the original message they sent to confirm my membership.

I did, and at the bottom of the message I found a small link that would supposedly take me to an online cancellation form. This "form", however, is nothing more than a place where you type in your e-mail address. I typed in mine, but the site said that my address is not in their records. This is ridiculous, because they have sent messages to that very same address! The final page DID list a phone number, so I called it—only to get a recording. I highly doubt I will ever get to speak to a real person, no matter how many times I call back.

I called my Credit Union instead. Luckily, they are wonderful and will fight for me. Oh, and by the way: The woman at my bank says that Instant Cast has already put in a request for MORE money, even though they just took out $64.95 yesterday! Now I have to cancel my debit card and re-arrange my finances. It is all SUCH a headache... I really wish I had found this consumer complaints site a long time ago! I hope my 2 cents somehow helps! Please, please do not give instant cast your information!
