Edpreporting.com, Edp Card
Ripoff, cloudy misleading fraudulent offer and withdrawal from my bank Westwood

Internet & Web

On April 1st I checked my online banking account with Washington Mutual and found a $159.95 debit from my account by EDP Card. They left an 8 digit number at the end of the entry that I used to identify my transaction when I contacted edpreporting.com. The phone no. To call on the entry was in the following entry on my online bank account:
03/31 DIRECTDEBIT/EDP CARD $159.95.

April 1st was a Saturday, so I called 1-800-430-0672. They stated they would be available M-F 8-5 at that number, so it was not until Monday that I was able to contact them by email. I was not able to get through by phone.

Saturday I checked Google and typed in edpreporting.com and got consumer complaints for Christina of Cumberland Maryland. She reported the same amount withdrawn from her account, and problems resolving getting her funds back, which she has not as far as I can tell been successful at recovering to date.

The following is the text I received from libbie@edpreporting.com Tuesday April 4th.

Good Afternoon,

I have found your online application which is proof of authorization for the purchase of the prepaid debit card. There is one way for you to have a charge. If you are experiencing a charge at this time, this means you should be receiving your prepaid card in the mail in the next 15-20 business days. According to the application submitted online on _3/28/06_ ordering the Acclaim Visa prepaid card, the Terms & Conditions were agreed to and authorization for the one time application and processing fee was given. The prepaid card is not a credit card. The prepaid card does not extend your credit. You will be able to load money onto the card and the prepaid card will only be good for the amount you apply.

Cancellation request made more than 3 business days are not eligible for a refund, if you would like to obtain a copy of the online application with proof of authorization let us know we can gladly mail it.

Thank you,
Libbie Alessi

Subject: Customer Service

I don't for the life of me understand why I would need such a service, and am determined to get my funds back. Wednesday, I am calling the local F.B.I. To see if they can be investigated for dishonesty and misrepresentation. If I did fill out the application, I did not receive an invoice or email response on 3/28 which she claims I made the application on.
