NET DETECTIVE - Harris Digital Publishing ripoff dishonest scam fraudulent useless deceptive advertising

NET DETECTIVE is a complete waste of money... What a scam! The advertising promises that you will be able to access all types of documents, from criminal background checks to your own FBI file, vital records, etc etc.
I ordered NET DETECTIVE for 29.99.

When I recieved my password to go on the site, I discovered that none of the services listed in the ad were offered. All I got was a phone directory - similar to anywho.com or whitepages.com. (which are free) There are no background checks, no vital records checks, no fbi file checks... Nothing. Even the directory just lists published numbers (and not even all of them... I am listed in the white pages, but not on Net Detective). There is nothing on this site that is worth paying for, you can easily get a published number out of a phone book or free web site.

For non-published records and court documents, you are simply given links to other sites, where you have to once again pay (a minimum of $25). This program is a complete rip.

I checked out the "Terms and Conditions" and was told that in order to get the money back gaurentee, I must notify Harris Digital Publishing by phone or e-mail.
There is no phone number or e-mail address listed.
I had to search through the site for a long time until I was able to find a customer/technical support request form. There is no option for "refund" but I wrote it in anyway. I was then sent an e-mail with a long form that I have to print up, and snail mail to the company to get my money back.

I checked the Better Business Bureau, and it turns out that NetDetective has an "unsatisfactory" record due to deceptive advertsing and selling issues. They are listed twice, the first listing has hundreds of complaints against them, and it appears that they registered again in September under another name to dupe customers into not seeing all the complaints logged against them - however that listing is filling up with dissatisfied customers as well.

I would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in bringing a class action suit against this company - I am not that concerned with the 29.99, it is more the principal of the matter and the fact that I paid for a service that was not provided. Be sure to file a report on this site.
