Ripoff

It seems im not the only one being ripped off. Im glad because now I dont feel alone. Im in the Air Force and computers are a must have item. I contacted Blue Hippo to get a laptop. I was paying 49.99 a week. Which is 200 dollars a month. I was promised a 2005 Gateway top of the line laptop computer.

I was told I would recieve my packing information verification paperwork after 2 payments and the actual computer after 7 payments. That was back in September. I recieved nothing, absolutely nothing.
I called and the representative said that they would put me on the priority list and I would recieve it in 3 to 5 days, didnt happen.

Then I got curious and asked them what kind of computer was it so I can go to Gateway and check it out. Nobody knew, not even the people at Gateway knew what kind of computer I was "ordering".
Now its December. I have paid over $700 and i have nothing to show for it. I started to worry so i looked Blue Hippo up on the computer. I found this site with all these complaints. I immediately contacted my bank and disputed all of the transactions on the grounds of "Breach of Contract" of course Blue Hippo gives NO refunds. So my bank refunded me 6 payments. Half of what i had given to Blue Hippo.

I called Blue Hippo and cancelled my account. I figured I'd accept the fact that I lost over $350 and move on to find a computer elsewhere. I was wrong. BLUE HIPPO in turn contacts the Law office of ROSS GELFAND, LLC, a collection firm. They inform me that I owe BH, $2,329.16 in non payments. ARE THEY SERIOUS!!? If anything, they owe me!

Now its feb. I've been calling that law firm and leaving messages, they havent responded. Now my credit is going to be damaged, bad. Im so Pissed right now. And i dont know what to do.
