Rip off by - Internet Service Provide

Internet & Web

Be carefeul when contracting for services by Instantpc.com, an ISP. They do not deliver on services contracted for. They can discontinue service to your web site without notice to you and you may not even know that service has been discontiuned. The company has no qualms about threatening you with phoney charges sent to collection agencies not located in your state to ruin your credit. Even if you have paid everything you owe to them, they can hold your web site hostage to phoney charges and refuse to allow you to transfer your site to a reputable internet service provider thereby interfering with your business. They are in cahoots with their registration partner, Registrars.com, who actually carries out the registration of your site, gets paid by Instantpc and then holds your site hostage at the behest of theirpartner, Instantpc.

Instantpc tried to extort 49.99 from me when I legitimately made an inquirey on my credit card of a charge I did not recognize. They were paid, in full, for a pointing service by my credit card company. Without notice to me, they discontiuned the pointing service, then called to try to collect a "dispute" fee even though my credit card company had already paid them for the service. They claimed they had incurred a fee of $50.00 from their credit card company. I asked for proof. They refused to provide it. They told me that they had not been paid by my credit card company;a complete falsehood. I asked them for dates as to when they had discontinued my service. They refused to provide me with this information. They agreed, in writing, to transfer my site to Verio.com and then reneged because of this alleged "dispute" fee owed to them. No credit card company had ever heard of this "dispute" fee.

Finally, they agreed to refund my pointing fee in the amount of 39.99 becuase they had, in fact, not provided the pointing service. The next day, they e-mailed me and threatened to send a bill of 49.99 to a collection agency and to add 250.00 for some "unspecified" fee. They are continuing to hold my site hostage to a phoney fee and are attemting to interfere with my credit standing by sending non substantiated charges to a collection agency. I offered to settle with them by repaying them the pointing fee of 39.99 just to get rid of them and have the transfer of my site go through.
They refused to answer me.
Not all ISP'S are created equal! Steer well clear of this one.
