Internet & Web

I got this great offer or so I thought to do something about the declining customer service that is going on in my area plus get a bonus. However, when I got into the site further, I took the time and read the terms and conditions.

It stated I would have to look at offers and participate in offers from 6 companies. I decided to give it a try. It claims the membership is free and alot of the companies advertised on their site say you can try them for free. Beware read all fine print, the "free" offers also come with their own traps as well.

I followed the instructions the site gave me. The first page said I had to participate in 1 primary offer or 2 secondary offers. Well, I decided to check out the ink station since I need ink cartridges anyway. It actually was good I visited that site it gave me what I needed at a good price. Thinking nothing of it I decided to proceed.

The second page said I just needed to participate in 1 of the offers on that page to get the free laptop. Well I looked around and the only thing that interested me was learning new software. So, I decided to go ahead and try to learn a new program, I only had to pay shipping and handling, hey $6.95 isnt too bad.

After I completed that offer the site kept returning to that same page. I couldnt get it to move forward. I didn't like the feeling I got, so I emailed the company asking them what was up with the web site. Of course, I have since had no reply.

I logged onto the site today, and found my registration, and to my surprise neither one of my purchases are listed on my account either. So, I wrote an email to both companies I made the purchases through to make sure I had indeed made the purchases through them and to ensure this Consumer Research Corp Inc wasnt running around with my credit card number.

I have recieved one comformation but I am still waiting on the other company to get a hold of me. I decided to take it upon myself, in the meantime, to contact Consumer Reasearch Corporation Inc. To discuss the situation. Not to my surprise you just get the run around, they just keep sending you back to their FAQ page. I went back to my registration page and noticed there were offers I could participate in at the bottom of the page.

My jaw hit the floor these offers, (which I remind you the company demands you participate in to continue your account with them), the offers would cost thousands of dollars!!! They were for minimum required purchases between $700.00-$1500.00 and you have to participate in two of them. I don't think so, saying to myself I need to know more I got onto the web and found this site and others who also had been taken. It is a disgrace I think they should have to spell it out better in their terms and conditions in clear unambiguous language what all you have to get into, to be a part of them!
