Technician Installed RAM as Upgrade, Ruined Keyboard on New Laptop, Ripoff

Internet & Web

My son, Jack Randall, took is 6 months old HP laptop into CompUsa at the Tucson office next to the Tucson Mall for an upgrade of the RAM. The technician ruined the keyboard and now it does not work.

He left scratches using a screw driver on the keyboard while installing the new RAM which has now voided the HP warranty. The manager stated that there was no General Manager there and that they would keep the laptop for 2 weeks to repair the keyboard.

The manager stated that my son had to buy a new laptop as they had no loners for the two weeks at his own expense and that they then would refund it when his was repaired.

This is the worst case of a technician Screw-up that I have ever heard. What can be done about this? I am going to have to report this to the Better Business Bureau. Please reply.
