First Credit Of America
Ripoff They are trying to collect for a website that I was never able to access after paying money to a company called "Pay Me Later.com" Internet

Internet & Web

I signed up for a website using a payment method offered called "paymelater.com". After signing up, I was not able to access the website. When this happened, I immediately emailed both the website and "paymelater.com" and said I couldn't access the site and would, therefore, not be using he service, so do NOT bill me.

Paymelater.com called, I explained the situation but they turned it over to First Credit of America for collection.

First Credit of America will NOT provide me with an address to send correspondense disputing the charge as required by the Fair Dept Collections Act ("FDCA") of 1977. The act clearly states that if I dispute the debt, I must write the collecting party within 30 days notifying them that I dispute the claim and further requires the third-party debt collector so cease all collection efforts including phone calls. Since FCofAmerica will not provide me with an address, I cannot send the appropriate correspondense and they continue to call me day and night with their collection efforts.

I will be notifying the three major credit reporting agencies of this problem as well as notifying the FTC.

Can you recommend anything else I can do to stop this ripoff organization from pestering me?
