Ripoff, still waiting on my rebates from Jan, nothing but broken promises even after FTC & FCC

I became a bellsouth internet user a few years ago, then was offered a reduced rate for the 1st 6 mo. Plus a $50 rebate for the modem & a $50. Rebate for the activation charges to go from dial up service to DSL so this I did.

I've been waiting since Jan. This year for my rebates, they were 1st mailed out to me at a wrong address [imagine that as they always have known where to send my bills & as I've been here since 1984] bellsouth received the checks back in Mar. But never notified me even tho they are my phone service provider thus they could have called me.

I was told that there would have to be an investigation & then the checks would be re-issued, even tho they already had the checks back! I guess I was suppossed to just give up, forget about it & go away. However I have kept every note, name, date & content of every conversation since this first bagan.

Many months & people later I spoke to a person on the 15 of June who assured me that I would have my checks with-in 3 weeks. I had contacted the FCC & now again today have contacted then again as well as the FTC as I still have nothing from them except a follow up e-mail from the same lady that stated the same thing regarding "with-in 3 weeks" that she sent me on the 16th of June.

After my contact with the FCC I also received a call from a superviser that same day stating the same thing re; checks within 3 wks. & that she would be personally following up with me by phone to make sure that all was well.

Now 4 wks. Later nothing has changed & the 4 people I spoke with today state the exact same thing that I need to be patient that the checks haven't been re-sent & that it'll be at least 3 wks. To which I replied that I've been patient, & am tired of being patient & that if I find that I can do any-thing else to recover damages as I've put many hours, stress & have been lied to repeatedly that I will do so.

If anyone knows of anything else as I'm sure that I can't possibly be the only person they've done this to please let the BBB/RIP OFF know as they are the people that try to help us all. Thanks for reading.
