Stamps.com
Free trial offer a ripoff. Marketers are misleading and customer service uncooperative. On Line Based

Internet & Web

I was contacted by a Stamps.com marketer. I was offered a "free" trial with a free postage scale and other items.

I was led to believe that these items would arrive on their own and they did not. I had to print postage from the site and return postcards to them to receive the items. I did not do this.

I was told I could use the site for specific mailing purposes and that was not true. I still had to go through the Postal System for bulk mailings.

I was given a one month trial, which turned into a 29 day trial when I tried to cancel. I was too late.

All this is bad enough, but this was for my company. So then I am informed that it was an annual charge and not monthly and they took $180.00 from my bank account. Now they won't return it and if I cancel then I am just out the money and can't use the account.

I do not want to use the account. I want my money returned.

The only thing I did wrong was not checking out the company before I accepted a call from their marketer, who by the way, broke several rules in regard to marketing calls.
