Possible ripoff Internet

I was trying to get details of free open office suit for my uni psychology course. I downloaded from open office site (still in progress) ok. On the search site results were listed several other sites of free software.
One was manay software advertising a free cd of open office pluss 4 more of their cd, s for free.= 5cds. Pluss usa postage of $4 something (about $9 aust.)
i filled in my details address / credit card etc for payment and shipping. Manay reported a problem with my credit card and said contact my credit card supplier. I checked my account and there was enough money to pay the postage. So i gather unbeknown to me my credit card supplier knew of doubtfull transactions with manay. I went to manay website via search and was surprised to see several entries knocking manay. One of these was usacomplaints.com. I entered usacomplaints.com site and found out i could have been involved in a ripoff by manay.= this report to usacomplaints.com. I wanted to get the free open office cd incase my download from open office was corrupted etc. Even the cd could have been faulty i found out. I went back to free software site to find manay site to report its details for usacomplaints.com. But have been unable to find the offer or site again. So i think they have withdrawn ther offer of a free open office cd pluss 4 of their own etc. Unless it was someone trying to be manay etc.
