Computer invasion and fraudulent billing RIPOFF

Found a $40 charge (plus tax) for a two minute call to a company that Google has never heard of except in connection with this scam: InfoservicZz.

I called Integretel to tell them that I had never heard of them, hadn't made this call, and that I'm the only person using this computer and never download anything I don't recognize.

Funnily enough, the woman at the other end started reading from her script before I even finished my story, telling me that I or someone here must have downloaded a malicious program-impossible— and what did I want her to do about it? When I told her I wanted her to cancel these fraudulent charges she told me all she could do was suggest I call Verizon to have them block 900 calls from this number, and then she hung up.

Verizon was very jolly and erased the charge from my bill immediately and blocked 900 calls, but warned me there was nothing they could do if Integretel tried to collect. My main worry is that they can damage my credit with malicious credit reports as they have a snowcone's chance in Hell collecting from me.

Interestingly, they were heavily fined by the FCC in 2002 for a similar fraud, and they have a terrible record with the Better Business Bureau so I wonder just how much credibility they really have in a legal setting.
