Infocom
Info RIPOFF uses computer VIRUS to market their service

Internet & Web

My computer has been invaded by a search engine that I did not install and can't seem to remove thus far.info.com is the business that pops up most frequently on the searches that come up even though I haven't done a search. I'm trying to report some of the major companies using this method of marketing. This virus has also added a lovely toolbar for my use which has choices such as "adult sites", "online dating", "online Casinos", and of course, "online drugs". Just what I most wanted - NOT.

I don't understand why they would do this since I would think that most people would react as I have, which is certainly NOT TO BUY ANYTHING from the vendors that keep popping up. The search engine appears every time I use Explorer, and sometimes even reroutes me to various vendors or even shuts off Explorer out of the blue.

It's been a terrible annoyance and slows down whatever work I'm doing repeatedly. Anyone finding a cure for this virus, PLEASE let me know. There are a couple we've tried, but this seems to be a mutation and does not respond.
