Ripoff

This complaint is regarding Walmart Connect.com - internet service provider. We tried Walmart Connect.com as an ISP for the 7 day trial period - which was supposed to be free. We ened up being billed for the whole month up front ($9.94) and then we called to have it cancelled - the Jacksonville, Florida Customer Service Number (888.855.0942) and spoke with a rep. Named "Roy." He said the service would be cancelled - but in effect he sent us a confirmation of continued service letter! Then they billed our credit card again! Now they have 2 months advanced billing on our credit card! We called back on several occassions and were put on hold for 20 - 30 and 40 minutes! Just to cancel this account! Finally we contacted another person - a manager by the name of "Anchor" who said he could do nothing and again transferred us to the 'cancellation' number where we sat on hold for another 45 minutes waiting for someone to come on the line. They continue to bill our credit card and we as yet are still trying to get someone on the line to explain this mess. We are of the opinion that this company is nothing but a scam and the reps are rip-off artists. Anyone considering using Walmart Connect.com - please protect yourselves first!!!
