Hi,

I have just noticed your getestore ripoff article and found that it instantly hit a raw nerve with me. I have found myself in pretty much the same dilemma and have now started to become somewhat suspicious of the above company.

I first noticed their getestore ad on google back in march and it sounded impressive. I was a little doubtful, so I emailed them and they replied promptly. They seemed friendly and honest so I signed up and purchased a store with them.

I have not really spent that much time on the webstore, in fact I practically forgot that I had it for a time as I was too busy, but during the last fortnight I have spent much more time on it and put effort into promoting it on a serious basis. I placed the webstore on google adwords and other pay-per-click search engines and submitted it to various other engines. I have noticed from the stats report on the store that I have received five hundred and forty seven unique visitors so far since march, and yet not even so much as one tiny sale has been made out of the thousands of the products on offer,

Apart from this I have also discovered that the webstore keeps going offline every other day for no apparent reason. I emailed the company about this matter last week and am still waiting for a response. They had replied to me so promptly before I had purchased a webstore with them, yet now I am being ignored. Yesterday was the final straw when I couldn't get to see my site for over ten hours. I had to remove all of my pay-per-click listings because I would have been spending money for visitors to go to a site that wasn't even visible. It also means it is difficult to update any stock or site features when you can't even get through to your own webstore for hours on end. I will not be promoting this site in the future unless I get an adequate response to my email... Which I doubt will happen. Anyway I would like to thank your site for addressing such matters. I think what you are doing is important and you have helped me to address a situation that I consider to be dubious.
