Premier Premium Communications
Hijacked my modem an created a bogus phone charge to United Kingdom

Internet & Web

On Saturday, December 4, I received a bogus bill from Premium Premium Communications claiming that on November 21 of this year, I visited a Pay-Per-View website somewhere in the United Kingdom. This claim is absolutely erroneous. I visited no such website and certainly would not connect to a pay per view site. These bozos did to my computer exactly what they have done to many others. They hijacked my modem and claimed that I made that call. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! The bill was for $20.00, for 4 minutes, plus a local charge $1.98/minute to be attached to my local phone bill.

I was supposed to sent them the $20.00 before the 20th of December to prevent a $4.95 late fee from being attached to their original bill.

I have written to them, both at their Ft. Worth address, and their billing inquiries address in Bedford, New Hampshire, telling them that I (and many other people) am on to their little game and we are united against them. They will never get that $20.00 from me.

Their activites amount to mail fraud and I have contacted the Minnesota Attorney General
about this matter, as well as the Minnesota Better Business Bureau. Also on my list of contacts will be the Minnesota Postal Inspector General, and possibly the FCC. My local phone company was contacted and they agreed to remove the $1.98 charge/minute if it should appear.

This company is a ripoff and scam company that is attempting to cheat people all over the United States. They must be stopped! A very interesting article about them appeared in the Denver Post newspaper (Business Section) on Sunday, December 5. Anyone caught by their illegal activities should read that article. It gives everyone a very good idea of exactly what kind of a shady company Premier Premium Communications really is.
