Dialer Scam ripoff Scam Mental Anguish Fort Worth, Texas

This horrible situation has caused many sleepness nights for my family and myself. We are a Christian Homeschooling family, and have a young daughter at home that uses the computer (supervised by us) as part of her schooling curriculum.

A couple months ago we noticed that our computer was acting up. It became very slow and unresponsive. After running Ad-Aware we found that we had a Trojan on our computer that we attempted to clean, and thought was resolved. Well, the Trojan kept turning up on our scans, which upset us greatly.

It was at this same time that the Telliss Dialer turned up on our computer. I found out about the dialer when I went to use my telephone. I picked up the phone, and heard the line in use. It sounded as if my phone had accessed a modem or fax machine, and I had no clue that at that moment in time I was being charged an arm and a leg by some company in the United Kingdom.

I went straight to my computer, located the malicious dialer on my system, and attempted to delete it. It kept popping back up, with different file names associated with it.

I decided I had to disconnect my computer from my telephone line (I now have a cable modem, thank goodness) and have disabled my computer's telephone modem in the hopes that a situation like this will never happen to my family again.in the one evening that our computer connected to the United Kingom using the Telliss Dialer we were charged the $1.99 per minute fee through our phone company, and $320.00 through Premier Premium Communications.

We have already had the phone company reverse the charges on our phone bill, but have not reached a resolution with Premier Premium Communications as of yet. We intend to pursue this matter until our "account" has been credited through this company, and we also have decided that we will pursue this matter legally, as we don't want this situation to happen to other families such as ours.
