Ripoff attempting credit charges after cancellation

After a "free" three month trial of AOL I cancelled my service in August for a more reliable service. Since that time, AOL continues to send me statements for their service though I have not used or have access to their service.

As of November AOL is continuing to send statements and attempted to use my credit card for service not rendered.

What part of "I no longer wish to subscribe to your service that I was displeased with" do they not understand.
