Ripoff Charging me the patient discounts the Insurance company states i dont owe

I am illegally being charged for discounts! I am on a ppo insurance. The doctor was a ppo provider. HE was and still is in network. I AM BEING RIPPED OFF!!!

MY son had a lawnmower accident and we used the services of a Dr. Gardner childrens plastic surgery specialist to repair my sons foot. UAHSF the billing department for dr gardner
is driving me crazy with calls and letters and threats to seek legal action against me for an amount that i legally do not owe on behalf of my sons surgeries. (3 surgeries is less than a week). They say i owe $3163.40, $2794 is discounted from that by the insurance company. I have tried on numerous occasions to resolve this issue but to no avail.

I get a runaround with each contact with uasf about the insurance and the discounted price which my insurance company states i am not responsible for. UAHSF states that i have to pay that amount becuase dr gardner is not a ppo provider for healtchoice, AND HEALTHCHOICE states that he IS a ppo innetwork provider AND the insurance management company for my insurance states he is a ppo provider in network. I HAVE talked to CSR's and visited the websites for the healthchoice insurance network and in all instances dr garnder shows up in network as a ppo provider who must accept the discounts. And NOT bill the patient for them. THe patient is not responsible for discounts.

Representatives for UAHSF told me the only time dr gardner accepts this insurance is for "organ transplants" well dr gardner is a "plastic surgean" so what does that have to do with organ transplants?

I also think that its strange that it took UAHSF an estimate of seven months to get an insurance payment from the company because of wrong and incomplete billing codes. (date of sevice 11/25 was finally paid on 8/05 and dos of 11/28 and 12/1 was pain on 7/23) That was also a major hassle for me to get straitened out especially with me having health problems of my own to deal with. They kept trying to bill me for right at 10,000 for these services because the insurance wouldnt pay anyting until the billing codes were sent to them corrected.

I have sent UAHSF copies of the insurance papers i have stating i do not owe this amount of money and they will not honor it. THEY refuse to even call the insurance co and verify it. They insist that either the insurance co is lying to me or i am lying to them trying to get out of a debt i owe. Still stating that dr garnder is not a ppo provider when in fact he is. Matter of fact one of the first things i asked was if he accepted the insurance and was a pppo provider before the surgeries. And he was in network then and still is to this day accourding to the healthchoice csr's. So I am tired of the hassle and headache this is causing and the ill effect it is having on my health. I am not responsible for these charges and sick of being hassled by uahsf. And i dont appreciate being called a lier trying to get out of paying a man who helped my son. I DO owe $ 369 i DO NOT owe $ 3163.40. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR $2794 WHICH WAS DISCOUNTED AND that Uahsf IS refusing to rightfully honor.
This should be called fraudelent practice!!!
