False Accusation of Child Maltreatment

Julie L. Cunningham, an LICSWof Brattleboro, VT, lied for an affidavit (December) by alleging that my husband and I were Child Maltreaters. She had called earlier and told my husband on the phone that she knew we were not abusers. She lured him to come to a meeting at school to discuss our son's problems, but when he got there he found out that he was the subject of a harsh and hostile interrogation session. Nobody had warned him to get a lawyer or an advocate, and how would he have known to bring a tape recorder? They bullied and duressed him into "consenting" to taking our son away into the custody of the state. This was over an allegation of yelling, "raising your voice" which they caught by sneak tape recording.

After the interrogation session and out of the earshot of the others, Julie L. Cunningham told him that this had not happpened because he was bad parent, but because of the need for "funding".
