Great Health Plan Low cost health insurance SCAM

I was looking for low cost health insurance. After searching on the Internet I came across their ad which said: health insurance plans starting at $99.00 including RX plan. The name on the webpage said: Great Health Plan.net. After filling in some basic info: name, address, state, phone number, I was "shown" a rate of $139.00 for full coverage. I called the number and spoke to a guy named "Tony" (he would not give me his last name or direct line)

He desribed an Aetna PPO that I could get with dental and vision all for only 180.90 (individual) per month! This rate is much, much lower than any other quotes I have seen. Normally, I would get quotes in the $400-$800 range. When I lost my job, I had an Aetna PPO and my rate on cobra was $528 per month. So I figured this is too good to be true and a scam. When I asked Tony to please send me information on his company and services, he said they were a non-profit company and really had nothing to send me. (very odd) I asked him to send me an email detailing everything he was promising me, he could not and talked around it saying I had better sign up today to guarantee these low rates. (more odd talk)

He said, "the NJ plans could just fill up very fast as there is only a certain ampount of openings. It's on a first come first served basis" (now the red flags are out and up) I asked him how the rates could be so low, he again stated because they are a non profit company. I only would have to pay a $99.00 enrollment fee and my first months fee to get started. I could pay month to month. I said I would think about it and call back. I asked for his direct line and he gave me the 1-877-670-8731 number. After researching the company on the Internet my suspicions were confirmed that it is indeed a scam company. Beware of them. Stay away.
