Unauthorized shipments of Avlimil and charges to my credit card

I had seen an advertisement for a free 30 day trial of Avlimil, and called to request it. I was told it would cost $4.50 for shipping and was asked if I wanted to receive future shipments. I said no, and explained that I wanted to try the product first. I was asked again, and I said absolutely not - I need to see if the product would work.

I received my free trial in December, and I haven't tried it yet. On Saturday, January 3, I received another 30 day supply of Avlimil. I thought they made a mistake, and tried to call them the next day, but their offices were closed. I typed in avlimil on Yahoo, and lo and behold, found this site with encounters similar to mine. I hadn't had the chance to inquire about a refund, but after reading the complaints against Warner Healthcare, a refund wasn't looking promising.

I contacted Warner Healthcare today, January 5. After explaining my entire situation to the representative, she told me that they do not take products back and that she could not give me a refund. She said that she knows that I was told that I would be enrolled in their Managed Care Direct program and that I would automatically receive future shipments unless I called to cancel. I told her that I distinctly told their representative that I did not want to receive future shipments, and was never informed that I would be placed in their Managed Care program. She then hung up on me! I called back a half an hour later, and spoke with an excellent customer care representative - LaTricia at extension 2296.

I recommend anyone who has had this problem - call her. She is going to consider this first shipment "complimentary", and will credit my charge account, and apologized for the behavior of the representative that I spoke with earlier. I informed her about all of the similar complaints that I have read on-line, and she is going to have a talk with her supervisor about the training of their sales staff. Hopefully, this will get resolved.
