Hospital failed to record serious fall and injury

My spouse and that I have obtained good hospital therapy at Baptist Hospital ("East") for several years. But on September 30, she was accepted with chest problems. No heart trouble was discovered but she weakened quickly, possibly because of drugs given. A nurse, having been informed the individual was unsteady, decreased my spouse (or permitted her to drop) while shifting her from sleep to bathroom. My spouse had expanded unconsciousness and delirium.

The drop was evidently unreported and there is no-exam for concussion or damaged bones. Your grievances towards the nurses and physicians and swelling in my own spouseis base weren't charted.

Elevated painkiller was given. After my spouse was launched in the clinic and that I got her to some physician, she was identified as having a damaged base, damaged vertebra, dislocated bones, severe digestive problems (gastroparesis, possibly due to narcotic painkillers given without stool softener) needing medicines with poor possible late unwanted effects. My spouse was in substantial discomfort for 2 months and not able to continue regular existence for 3 months; I dropped three months of my typical existence taking care of her.

Thousands of bucks of medical costs were fulfilled from the citizens (Medicare), not by us, which should have now been compensated from the clinic.

A healthcare facility declined to provide any aid or info; it declined to come back telephone calls for weeks. After I published to town council people and legislators, I obtained a notice stating that my spouse have been handled based on Baptist Hospital requirements.
