Membership overdraft/non-compliance

I had an agreement/contract with The Rush 24/7 dated from 2/28/08 through 11/28/10. During this contracted membership, the facility was unavailable for use due to moving and flooding/pipe-breakage. I spoke with their customer service and was assured that my contract/agreement would be credited for this time.

Unfortunately, I am now (as of 1/11) receiving a bill for membership from (quoted from their statement) 12/12/10- 1/05. This would not only exceed our original contracted agreement, but also be in direct conflict with their aforementioned agreement to credit my membership for the unavailability of their facility.

I'll pay and be done with it - which is no doubt part of how they practice business and demonstrate customer service. If this were not the case, they would have made some effort to remedy the situation, however their customer representatives repeatedly ignore these factors.

So in the end, you at TheRush can have your $39. That will buy you a lifetime of bad word of mouth advertisement and testimonial from this former member. I work in Marketing/Advertising/Instructional Design for a fortune 60 company and am well versed in what proper customer service is truly about. Ultimately, TheRush has proven themselves short sighted and arrogant - if not outright deceitful.
