Ripoff billing threats for returned item

A few years ago I received an offer from Tabak's in the mail for a miracle wrinkle cream. Well, I am 27, so I decided to order it for my mother. She tried it, said it didnt' seem to do any "miracles" for her. Well, it was about twenty days into the use of the product, so I went ahead and returned the item.

The company then sent me collection letters for a good two years thereafter, and also threatened to send me to collections.in fact, I started getting letters from this collection agency. Well I just kept on writing them back and providing proof that I returned the product.

Eventually the collection efforts stopped. Nothing was ever put on my credit bureau report. I would advise any customer who is having difficulties with Tabak's to just keep on writting. Keep records of your correspondences, and provide these to the collection agency if your account is ever turned over. Also, a word of advise, unless the agency has your social security number and something signed by you that you agree to pay, then nothing will ever go on your actual credit rating.
