Bridgeport Labs aka Your Free Vitamins ripoff! UNAUTHORIZED/FRAUDULENT charges on debit card

In early November I ordered "free" vitamins on an auto shipment program from Bridgeport Labs. On November 10th, I sent an e-mail stating that the product did not work for me and to cancel the auto shippment program. I sent this e-mail via the "contact us" link on their website. On November 29, I realized that my bank account had been overdrawn and I promptly called my bank to discover that BridgeportLabs aka yourfreevitamins had deducted $50.00 from my account.

This was an unauthorized transaction because I had previously sent a cancellation notice to the company. I sent the 2nd e-mail to them at service@bridegportlabs advising them of their error. I also attached the initial e-mail with full headers on it to the second e-mail. I received no response.

On Monday December 1, I telephoned Bridgeport Labs at 800-620-# and spoke to an unreasonable woman named 'nancy 0595'. Nancy has no information on who her supervisor is so that I may speak with a Management professional to correct this erroneous transaction. She did inform me however that they have sent me another unauthorized shippment of these pills after i cancelled the transaction. Nancy tells me that they will not refund the stolen money until I receive the (alleged) shippment and return it to them.

After I advised her that this was a fraudulent action on the part of her company, since I had cancelled all futher shippments from them, she told me that she would go ahead and put the refund request back into the system to expedite the refund of my funds. She also gave me at that time a fax number to send my bank statement to showing the resulting overdraft charges that were levied against my account due to their error. Tuesday December 2 I called again, with Nancy assuring me that the credit was being processed. I was advised by Nancy to contact my Back as the credit was completed at Bridgeport Labs. On Friday December 5 I called again as no credit had been received.

This time Nancy tells me that no credit will be processed until I ship the product (that I cancelled before it was shipped out and that I have never received STILL) back to them! Nancy 0595 refused to give me any information as to another contact or her superiors or anyone other than her. It seems to me at this point that Bridgeport Labs is little more than a scam artist. They are doing all they can to avoid refunding the money they stole from my account!

I have saved all e-mail coorespondence to Bridgeport Labs and can forward the emails and full headers at your request. I turned to the internet to see if their is any information on the business practices of Brigeport Labs aka yourfreevitamins.com. That is how I discovered this web site.

I think consumers should have a forum to express their experiences with companies that scam our nation. I intend to fully pursue all means necessary to receive my money and ensuing insufficient check charges caused by the actions of Bridgeport Labs.
