Unlawful Advertising Practices

Kumaara offered a free trial sample of their product for $5.95. When I completed the form listing my name, etc., including my credit card number, I received their confirmation. Stated on the confirmation, but not on the prior page requesting my personal information, was statements indicating that at the end of the free trial, 30 days, I will receive their product at a discounted price of $99.95. If I don't want the product, then I am to return the unused free trial product, including making a call to them to cancel the order! First of all, these statements were not included on the page requesting the customer's personal information. KUMAARA is practicing unfair trade practices by not stating their Free Trial Overvfiew upfront prior to asking for the consumer's personal information. I called kumaara on 11/5/10 to cancel the shipment of the free product. Brian told me that he could not cancel the product; that it had already been shipped! When I told him that I wanted the entire order cancelled, he then offered me the product for $49.95! When I told him that Amazon.com offers this product for $49.95, he becamr silent. DERMITAGE AND KUMAARA are offered on Beautyuser.com (is this a scam site?). I understand that Beautyuser.com is based out of Ontario, Canada. Now, I have received a Returned Merchandise Authorization number from KUMAARA and they have (via Brian) ensured me that I will need to return the free product with that number written on the package. Upon receipt of the package, Brian will have my order cancelled. But, understand, I did not signup for the $99.95 product in the first place! This site is a scam; they are not upfront with their potential charges and from what I have read on the KUMAARA COMPLAINT SITE, it is not easy to have one's order for something they did not order in the first place, cancelled. PS: I have informed my credit card of this complaint and have advised them that they are not to pay any charges received from KUMAARA AND DERMITAGE. Note: i have stated that kumaara is located in california but their addrss on their site is stated as ontario, ca 91764.
